Welcome to the First Baptist Church of West Sacramento. Founded on July 14, 1953, our church is a community of believers led by the Spirit of God, united in our faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior. As an evangelical Baptist church, we are pleased to fellowship with the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches (GARBC). As a non-profit organization, we are dedicated to worshipping God, spreading the Gospel, and promoting spiritual growth among our members and throughout the community.
What We Believe
We believe in the Holy Scriptures as the inerrant, infallible, and inspired Word of God, serving as the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. Our church is built on a foundation of Biblical truths and the desire to live according to God’s Word. We strive to walk in holiness, guided by the Holy Spirit, and to reflect Christ’s love and teachings in every aspect of our lives.

Our Mission
Our mission is to glorify God through worship, proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and fostering spiritual growth within our church family and the wider community. We seek to provide sound teaching, practice New Testament ordinances such as Baptism and Communion, and promote the spiritual welfare of all those we encounter. As a church, we are committed to standing firm in our faith, preserving the integrity of God’s Word, and remaining free from influences that would compromise our beliefs. Our aim is to carry the message of hope and salvation to the ends of the earth, with a focus on living out the principles of God’s Word each day.
Our Worship Team
Our Worship Team leads the congregation in music each week, creating an atmosphere of worship through a mix of traditional hymns and modern songs. The team works together to support the church’s worship experience, bringing their musical skills and dedication to each service. We welcome anyone interested in sharing their musical/vocal abilities to consider joining us in this ministry.
